EPDM Flat Roofs in Kent
EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) widely used in low sloped flat roofs worldwide. Its 2 primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas.
EPDM can be installed either fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted, with the seems of the roofing system sealed with liquid adhesives or specially formulated tape to make sure all seems are water tight. All edge trims are pre-formed and mechanically fixed to the roof's sub base, giving a sleek finish to the roof.
EPDM roofs that are adjacent to an abutment wall have pre-formed flashing kits to tie the roof in nicely to the existing building.
This roofing system has a life expectancy of 50 years, is maintenance free, and is a great option against other systems, such as fibreglass flat roofs
